Green Plastics & Products
The materials and techniques we employ to create our high-quality thermoplastic, hard-synthetic products is by far the most resource efficient and environmentally friendly available in the world today. Neither Micro-synthetics (Pellets) nor plasticizers are ever used in our products (we do not process PVC or soft synthetics), nor do we use liquid synthetics (or melts). Our processing methods do not produce any volatile substances (no gas phases). The small amount of production waste we do create is collected, sorted and recycled within the company, turning every bit of material into sophisticated products for our environmentally minded partners. In short, we produce green plastic.
The energy expended in the manufacture and forming of our products is extremely low, as is the transport weight along the entire supply chain. Our entire production energy springs from hydropower and is 100% certified Austrian Green Electricity (www.salzburg-ag.at).We were one of the first synthetic technology SMEs in Austria to meet the high demands and stipulations of environmental certification EN ISO 14001: 2004 and are counted today amongst the highest certified, with the most current European Environmental Standard, EN ISO 14001:2015
A large part of our products are used in lightweight construction and thus contribute enormously to the reduction of emissions in all relevant categories, in particular the avoidance of CO2 emissions. As a clear example, we produce the glazing on the most environmentally friendly, low-emission competition vehicles in all of Europe – which was created by the brilliant young inventors whom we have been proud to sponsor for years.
Our products and materials are a small but very valuable contribution to sustainability, and an important step forward for the ecological stability of our planet – Indeed, they are undoubtedly a necessary tool of survival. Please support our efforts for a greener world, and differentiate between the possibilities created by our intelligently designed synthetic products and the harm of wasteful, environmentally irresponsible plastic waste.
k-tec stands for innovative synthetic techniques, and thus an important contribution to environmental sustainability.
